Your Career Shouldn't Cost You This Much

A workbook to help you uncover one way you’re overinvesting time and energy at work - and how to scale back without lowering your standards or losing your edge.

You’re successful at what you do.

But you may also be giving work more of your time and energy than you want to keep giving. The extra hours. Constant availability. Staying involved. Taking on more.

It can feel like all of it is just what your success requires.

But what if some of it isn’t?

This free workbook will help you find one place to start.

This practical workbook will help you uncover one place you may be overinvesting your time and energy

at work, question whether what you're doing is actually required for your success,

and choose one small way to scale back.

This workbook will help you:

get clear on what success means to you in this season — at work and outside of it

identify one thing you’re doing because you believe it’s required for your success

question whether that expectation is actually required or something you’ve assumed

see what that assumption may be requiring from you — in your work and the rest of your life

choose one small change to test what happens when you stop doing it, do less of it or do it differently

What’s Included in the workbook:

a simple process for defining what success means to you right now

prompts to uncover what you believe success requires of you

questions to help you separate what you know is required from what you may be assuming is required

a practical exercise to choose one small change and turn it into an experiment

reflection prompts to help you learn from what happens when you try working differently

The goal isn’t to lower your standards, be less ambitious or care less about your career.

It’s to question whether everything you’re currently doing — and giving to work — is actually

required for the success you want.

Because if it isn't, you may be able to give work less of yourself without losing your edge.

About Me! Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Allison Marie.

I’m a wife, a mom of two teens, a dog mom to two goldendoodles — and a former finance executive turned leadership coach.

I work with ambitious professionals who want to be intentional about what success means to them and design ways of working that support both their career and the rest of their life.

My coaching is grounded in a clear, practical framework that helps clients work more intentionally - individually, with their teams, and with key stakeholders.

Outside of coaching, you’ll usually find me taking an Orangetheory fitness class, strength training in my basement, getting outside for long walks, going for motorcycle rides with my husband, spending time by the water, laughing with my family, or enjoying good conversations with good friends.
